DENIS BEAUDRY (COA) – Chief Outdoor Adventurer – denis@49by49.com Denis was born in Montréal and lived in Québec for most of his life. He’s always had a passion for the outdoors and for learning. While living in Québec, he owned a small publishing company that focused on adventure travel. Publishing maps and guides geared towards cyclists and cross-country skiers became a real passion. His love of nature inspired him to relocate to British Columbia, in 2010, with his partner and children. He soon discovered the joy of open water swimming and he’s now deeply addicted. When not at work, you can find him riding his bike on a trail or swimming in the ocean with a few friends.
BRENDA SHUTTLEWORTH (CIA) – Chief Information Adventurer – brenda@49by49.com Brenda grew up on Vancouver Island. She is an Information Technologist, actor (Vancouver Playhouse Acting School Grad 1985), Indy Publisher (Coastal Insights Press) and open water swimming enthusiast. Guilty pleasure: Fins. Likes: Spiderman. Current Fave Swim and why: Sebastian Beach – Safe, beautiful and close to home, can zone out and train for distance, just remember not to swim into the dock… docks.
WENDY TURCOTTE – Associate Adventurer – wendy@49by49.com Wendy is the newest member of the 49P Adventure Team and currently assigned to 49 Beers on the Wall. Her interests are triathlon and sporty vacations in Europe and North America. Future assignments may include researching the Top 49 Marathons or the 49 Best and Worst Hangry Phrases (A Vegetarian’s Survival Guide to Ordering Foreign Cuisine).
